Partcipating in the 14th China-Thailand Joint Workshop on Ocean Science and Technology Cooperation

On September 10–11, 2025, Mr. Ukrit Sataphumin, the Deputy Director-General of the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR), Mrs. Sumana Khajornwatanaqul, Director of the Marine and Coastal Resources Research and Development Institute, and Mrs. Suree Sataphumin, an expert specializing in Marine and Coastal Resources Management, led the delegation, which included officials from the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources and the Department of Mineral Resources to participate in The 14th China-Thailand Joint Workshop on Ocean Science and Technology Cooperation, hosted by the First Institute of Oceanography (FIO), Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR), in Nanning City, P.R. China. The workshop aimed to serve as a platform for presenting research progress and exchanging marine information between Thailand and China. The meeting saw an attendance of over 60 participants, a total of 37 interested individuals engaging in discussions and Q&A sessions, and 21 poster presentations covered three main themes (1) Ocean, Climate, and Environment (2) Biodiversity, Ecosystem, and Marine Biotechnology and (3) Geology and Spatial Planning for Marine Resource Utilization.
