Partcipating in the 14th China-Thailand Joint Workshop on Ocean Science and Technology Cooperation
On September 10–11, 2025, Mr. Ukrit Sataphumin, the Deputy Director-General of the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR), Mrs. Sumana Khajornwatanaqul, Director of the Marine and Coastal Resources Research and Development Institute, and Mrs. Suree Sataphumin, an expert specializing in Marine and Coastal Resources Management, led the delegation, which included officials from the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources and the Department of Mineral Resources to participate in The 14th China-Thailand Joint Workshop on Ocean Science and Technology Cooperation, hosted by the First Institute of Oceanography (FIO), Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR), in Nanning City, P.R. China. The workshop aimed to serve as a platform for presenting research progress and exchanging marine information between Thailand and China. The meeting saw an attendance of over 60 participants, a total of 37 interested individuals engaging in discussions and Q&A sessions, and 21 poster presentations covered three main themes (1) Ocean, Climate, and Environment (2) Biodiversity, Ecosystem, and Marine Biotechnology and (3) Geology and Spatial Planning for Marine Resource Utilization.
Training Workshop on Species Distribution Model for Endangered Species
On August 25 – 28, 2025, Marine and Coastal Resources Research Center (Central Gulf of Thailand) in collabolation with the First Institute of Oceanography (FIO) and the Thailand – China Joint Laboratory for Climate and Marine Ecosystemoganized a training workshop on the Species Distribution Model for Endangered Species in Surat Thani. This workshop is a part of Marine Endanger Species Research (MESR). The workshop was honored by Mrs. Sumana Khajornwatanaqul, Director of the Marine and Coastal Resources Research and Development Institute to give an opening statement. The primary goal of the event was to enhance the capacity of DMCR's staff in the data analysis of marine endangered species and the practical application of Species Distribution Models. The workshop successfully brought together a total of 35 attendees, including 26 participants from relevant research and conservation divisions.
Advancing Microplastic and Marine Debris Research in Thailand
The Thailand-China Joint Laboratory for Climate and Marine Ecosystem, in collaboration with Phuket Marine Biological Center (PMBC) Center and the First Institute of Oceanography of the People's Republic of China, hosted a hands-on training on Advancing Microplastic and Marine Debris Research in Thailand at Phuket Marine Biological Center during 13-14 May 2025. The training aims to instruct the preparation of microplastic sample from marine organism, discussion on Project Technical Cooperation on Marine Debris and Microplastic Monitoring and Research framework for next 5 years, and future direction of microplastic research around the world.
ศูนย์ปฏิบัติการวิจัยร่วมไทย-จีน ด้านสภาพภูมิอากาศ และระบบนิเวศทางทะเล จัดฝึกอบรมการใช้อากาศยานไร้คนขับแบบปีกตรึงขึ้นลงแนวดิ่ง (Vertical take-off and landing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle; VTOL UAV)
ระหว่างวันที่ 10 - 14 มิถุนายน 2567 ศูนย์ปฏิบัติการวิจัยร่วมไทย-จีน ด้านสภาพภูมิอากาศ และระบบนิเวศทางทะเล ร่วมกับศูนย์วิจัยทรัพยากรทางทะเลและชายฝั่งอ่าวไทยตอนบน (ศวทบ.) จัดฝึกอบรม “โครงการฝึกอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการ การใช้อากาศยานไร้คนขับแบบปีกตรึงขึ้นลงแนวดิ่ง (Vertical take-off and landing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle; VTOL UAV) ในการสำรวจสัตว์ทะเลหายากและทรัพยากรทางทะเลและชายฝั่ง” ภายใต้โครงการวิจัยร่วม Marine Endangered Species Researches (MESR) โดยได้รับงบประมาณสนับสนุนจากศูนย์ปฏิบัติการวิจัยร่วมไทย-จีน ด้านสภาพภูมิอากาศและระบบนิเวศทางทะเล โดยมีวิทยากรบรรยายพร้อมฝึกปฏิบัติภาคสนามจากบริษัท ซิสทรอนิกส์ จำกัด และมีผู้เข้าร่วมอบรมฯ จากศูนย์วิจัยฯ ทั้ง 6 แห่ง จำนวน 26 คน อันเป็นการพัฒนาศักยภาพบุคลากรในการใช้เทคโนโลยีในการสำรวจและประเมินสถานภาพทรัพยากร ทรัพยากรทางทะเลและชายฝั่งที่มีอยู่เดิมให้เป็นปัจจุบันและมีคุณภาพมากขึ้น
การสัมมนาเชิงปฏิบัติการว่าด้วยความร่วมมือระหว่างไทย-จีน ด้านวิทยาศาสตร์ทางทะเลและเทคโนโลยี (ฝ่ายไทย)
วันที่ 13 - 15 พฤษภาคม 2567 กรมทรัพยากรทางทะเลและชายฝั่ง โดยสถาบันวิจัยและพัฒนาทรัพยากรทางทะเลและชายฝั่ง ได้จัดการสัมมนาเชิงปฏิบัติการว่าด้วยความร่วมมือระหว่างไทย-จีน ด้านวิทยาศาสตร์ทางทะเลและเทคโนโลยี (ฝ่ายไทย) โดย ดร. ปิ่นสักก์ สุรัสวดี อธิบดีกรมทรัพยากรทางทะเลและชายฝั่ง เป็นประธาน ณ โรงแรมเบสท์เวสเทิร์น นาดา ดอนเมือง แอร์พอร์ต กรุงเทพฯ โดยการสัมมนาฯ ในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อติดตามผลการดำเนินงานทางวิชาการของความร่วมมือระหว่างไทย-จีน ด้านทะเล โดยผู้เข้าร่วมการสัมมนาฯ ประกอบไปด้วยคณะทำงานโครงการความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระหว่างไทย-จีน ด้านทะเล ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ ผู้อำนวยการศูนย์ นักวิจัยของกรมทรัพยากรทางทะเลและชายฝั่ง ผู้แทนและนักวิจัยจากหน่วยราชการและสถาบันการศึกษาต่าง ๆ ทั้งนี้ มีการระดมความคิดเห็น และให้ข้อแนะนำในการพัฒนาโครงการวิจัยในสาขาต่าง ๆ ซึ่งจะส่งผลประโยชน์ต่องานวิจัยและการบริหารจัดการทรัพยากรทางทะเลต่อไป
การสัมมนาเชิงปฏิบัติการความก้าวหน้าด้านวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีทางทะเล ระหว่างไทย-จีน ด้านทะเล (ฝ่ายไทย)
วันที่ 9 มีนาคม 2566 ดร.พรศรี สุทธนารักษ์ รองอธิบดีกรมทรัพยากรทางทะเลและชายฝั่ง (รอง อทช.) เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิดการสัมมนาเชิงปฏิบัติการความก้าวหน้าด้านวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีทางทะเล ระหว่างไทย-จีน ด้านทะเล (ฝ่ายไทย) โดยมีนางสุมนา ขจรวัฒนากุล ผู้อำนวยการสถาบันวิจัยและพัฒนาทรัพยากรทางทะเลและชายฝั่ง พร้อมด้วยผู้เชี่ยวชาญ ผู้อำนวยการศูนย์ นักวิจัย และเจ้าหน้าที่ในสังกัดกรมฯ ตลอดจน คณะทำงานโครงการความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระหว่างไทย-จีน ด้านทะเล ผู้แทนและนักวิจัยจากหน่วยงานราชการ และสถาบันการศึกษาที่ดำเนินงานด้านทะเล เข้าร่วมสัมมนา ณ โรงแรมพักพิง อิงทาง บูติค โฮเทล (ชั้น 6) จังหวัดนนทบุรี ในระหว่างวันที่ 8 - 10 มีนาคม 2566การสัมมนาเชิงปฏิบัติการในครั้งนี้ กรม ทช. จัดขึ้นเพื่อเป็นเวทีแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็น และข้อแนะนำ จากหน่วยงานทางวิชาการต่างๆ ทั้งภายในและภายนอกกระทรวงทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม รวมทั้งสถาบันการศึกษาต่าง ๆ ที่ดำเนินงานทางด้านทะเล อีกทั้งให้นำเสนอผลงานและความก้าวหน้าในการดำเนินงานของโครงการวิจัยร่วม ที่อยู่ระหว่างการดำเนินงาน เพื่อให้นักวิจัยฝ่ายไทยมีความพร้อมในการดำเนินงานตามโครงการวิจัยต่าง ๆ ซึ่งจะส่งผลประโยชน์ต่อการบริหารจัดการทะเลไทย ต่อไป
